“As we close out Fleet Week Houston, it was an honor to meet with some of our servicemembers like Rear Admiral Kimberly Walls and Captain Rose Goscinski who help keep our global ports safe. We’re so proud to have the Port of Houston in Harris County, which shapes our community’s reputation as a leader in international trade. To our servicemembers, thank you for everything you do to keep global shipping up and running, and we were so proud to welcome you to Harris County for Fleet Week!” said Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo.
“The Houston Maritime Center & Museum is honored to support the very first Fleet Week Houston and the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard as they protect our national freedom. It was meaningful to have Judge Hidalgo join us Tuesday night to discuss protecting global shipping lanes while we continue our educational outreach mission to enhance our community,” said Sarah Howell, President of Houston Maritime Center & Museum.
Scheduled for April 15-22, 2026, the inaugural Fleet Week Houston has brought multiple U.S. Navy vessels and more than 1,000 sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen to the community to connect with residents and celebrate our community’s maritime legacy. Hosted in collaboration with the City of Houston, the Port of Houston, Houston First Corporation and other partners, this event marks the first time a Texas city has hosted Fleet Week.
