Harris County, TX, September 1, 2026 - Ahead of the incoming tropical storm, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is encouraging residents to make their preparations for heavy rainfall and potential flash flooding by this afternoon.

Harris County, TX, August 31, 2026 - Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) are monitoring the development of a tropical system that could bring heavy rainfall to parts of Harris County beginning Tuesday morning.
