Harris County, TX, August 31, 2026 - Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) are monitoring the development of a tropical system that could bring heavy rainfall to parts of Harris County beginning Tuesday morning. HCOHSEM is currently activated at Level III: Increased Readiness.
