Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo announced an emergency session of the Harris County Commissioners Court will take place at 1 pm on Friday, February 19th, 2021. The emergency or urgent public necessity requiring immediate action of Commissioners Court is the widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property resulting from severe weather, including extremely cold temperatures, ice, and snow, resulting from winter weather, and the extraordinary measures that must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people and to protect or rehabilitate property to address issues related to the winter weather disaster.
