"Nothing showcases the unique culture and pride of our region quite like Go Texan Day and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo,” said Harris County Judge Hidalgo. “For thousands of families like mine, Go Texan Day and a visit to the rodeo is a rite of passage. I’m excited to welcome residents and visitors from around the world to this year’s events and to share my rodeo playlist. I want to thank all of the artists, volunteers, and businesses supporting this year’s festivities and for everything they do not to just entertain, but also give back by supporting scholarships, grants, and youth activities as part of this amazing competition and celebration.”

Last year alone, the rodeo welcomed more than 2.5 million attendees, generating $391 million in economic activity and supporting more than 5,900 jobs across the region.
