Today, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Executive Director of Harris County Public Health Dr. Umair Shah released new community guidelines designed to augment the regional response to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Since the coronavirus outbreak began, Harris County, in close coordination with regional jurisdictions, has taken proactive action to protect the health of our community by preparing for and responding to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). However, preventing the spread of COVID-19 requires a strong partnership between government, the private sector, and individual residents themselves. As part of regional efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus Harris County released the following community guidelines, which will remain in place until March 31, 2020 or until otherwise noted.
